How we handle your data.
Short version: we don't collect it. Binforge runs in your browser. Your designs never touch our servers.
Last updated: April 2026Six things you should know.
01
Your designs stay local
Binforge runs entirely in your browser. We do not store your designs on any server. Your bin configurations live in the URL. When you close the tab, they're gone unless you bookmarked or shared the link. Zero server-side storage, zero accounts required.
02
Analytics
We use PostHog (EU-hosted) for privacy-focused analytics. We track page views and feature usage to improve the product. We do not track personal information, and we do not sell data to third parties. You can opt out permanently by visiting any page with ?notrack in the URL.
03
Error tracking
We use Sentry to capture JavaScript errors so we can fix bugs quickly. Error reports may include your browser type and the page URL, but never personal information or design data.
04
Cookies
We use a single cookie (binforge_no_track) to remember your analytics opt-out preference. That's it. No third-party tracking cookies, no ad networks, no fingerprinting.
05
Third-party services
Google Fonts (Inter Tight, JetBrains Mono) are loaded from Google's CDN for the marketing site. The editor uses system fonts. Google may log font requests per their privacy policy.
06
Exported file metadata
3MF files exported by Binforge include metadata fields: title, designer, copyright, creation date, and source URL (the Binforge URL that generated the file). This is embedded for traceability only. It is not tracking. The URL contains only your design parameters, which you chose to export. STL files include a Binforge header comment. No personal information is written to any exported file.
